What is Included in Board Paper Rechecking?
It is essential to know that under Board rules, Rechecking means Recounting and Verification. An examiner does not re-grade written answers from scratch, but rather checks the following 5 critical parameters:
- Total Marks Recounting: Verifying that marks awarded across all questions sum up correctly on the title sheet.
- Unmarked Questions: Checking if any question or part/sub-question was left un-assessed or unmarked by the examiner.
- Marks Transfer Accuracy: Ensuring marks recorded on inside pages were correctly transferred to the main title page.
- Examiner Signatures: Verifying that all checked answers carry the official examiner and sub-examiner signatures.
- Answer Book Ownership: Verifying that the answer booklet matches your official roll number and script ID.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Rechecking Online
- Visit your respective educational board's official website (e.g. BISE Lahore).
- Navigate to the "Online Services" → "Rechecking SSC Part-I 2026" tab.
- Enter your Roll Number and select the subjects you wish to apply for rechecking.
- Generate and download the computerized Bank Challan Form.
- Pay the fee at any designated bank branch (or via official mobile banking apps if enabled).
- Upload or enter the paid Challan number in the online portal to finalize your submission.
- Print the confirmation receipt containing your Diary Number to track status.
Important 100% Fee Refund Rule:
If your total marks increase by even 1 mark during rechecking, the board will refund your complete rechecking fee!
